Lovely setting, very nice facilities. Great place for a romantic getaway.
The Prairie is absolutely stunning. I enjoyed taking my pictures there so much. Upon my arrival I went to the front desk to check in and I was unable to find anyone. We had recently had a lot of flooding in the county and I called 2-3 times with no answer and left voice mails to try to make sure everything was good to go for my bridals. Needless to say once you pay for the place you don't here anything back from the owner. The lack of communication was horrible. Need to work on customer service. We had no idea where to go or what to do when we got there and I had no idea where I was supposed to get dressed .Luckily my photographer had been there many times before!
Booked a weekend with family for a wedding in the area. Absolutely stunning how beautiful this place is. We stayed in the Cornflower and the Bluebonnet Cottages. 10 minutes from Warrenton, 5 minutes from Round Top, this is a great location for a romantic weekend, girls trip, or when you have to get a large group together for a wedding or reunion. The staff is very personable, the breakfast is fresh and yummy, and there is a little shop where you can purchase Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic items. Wandering around the property we found numerous courtyards and seating areas for a large group to spread out or to find a little peace in the country.

Fabulous, relaxing place for a nice getaway. Danny cooked a great breakfast for the guests in the morning.The land that the cottages are on is beautiful and great for a nice walk. We enjoyed that the cottages were so private, rustic, and clean. They also have a table and patio to relax and enjoy the serene setting. The bed and couch were fluffy and comfortable. A quick drive to Round Top, vintage shops, and the Festival Institute. We will absolutely be back for more R&R.
