I loved sitting at a big table with unknown but "new " friends. Great food and great service. A five star experience!
Come hungry! Known for having the best pies (can't go wrong, or can get a tasting at of four slices), but the meals are great, too. Highly recommend the steak salad - it's essentially an entire steak plus several slices of bacon on a bed of greens. So good, we're likely to take family over from Austin for a repeat visit. Wow!
I had the Sunday special, fried chicken, cream corn, mash potatoes, and paired with a sweet tea...so good I stood up and said the pledge of allegiance. Followed up with a butter milk pie. All amazing. I would recommend getting there early, it's a small place. Also they have a creepy clown baby thing by the bathrooms.
I really like this place! Located in the small town of Round Top, which is easy to fall in love with, you get a very special experience at Royers. Good, plain and simple food at ok prices. Great service and pies to die for. Moving on to their "sister" Pie Haven 2 minutes away for more pies is a must. Ain't no pie like Royers pies!
